💊 Anti-Drug Cell

Ethics University Campus – Promoting a Safe & Drug-Free Environment

The Anti-Drug Cell is established under UGC guidelines to prevent drug abuse, trafficking, and misuse of illegal substances. It ensures a safe, supportive, and drug-free campus environment for all students.

Mission

To create a drug-free academic environment by educating students about the consequences of drug use, promoting rehabilitation and counseling, and equipping future teachers and staff to identify and address drug-related issues responsibly.

Objectives

Prevention of Drug Abuse
Raise awareness about the dangers and health risks of drug abuse; prevent initiation of substance use among students and staff.
Rehabilitation & Support
Provide counseling, rehabilitation programs, and treatment resources to students struggling with drug addiction; help reintegrate recovered individuals into academic and social life.
Awareness & Education
Organize workshops, seminars, and campaigns to educate students, faculty, and staff about the risks and legal consequences of drug use.
Collaboration with Authorities
Work closely with law enforcement, health organizations, and NGOs to prevent trafficking and enhance campus safety measures.

Functions

Awareness Campaigns
Conduct seminars, guest lectures, and workshops to inform the campus community about the consequences of drug abuse.
Counseling Services
Offer academic and personal counseling to students affected by drug issues; provide support confidentially.
Collaboration
Coordinate with external agencies and community organizations to strengthen preventive initiatives.
Training & Skill Development
Train faculty, staff, and student leaders to identify signs of drug use and intervene appropriately.
Monitoring & Reporting
Establish confidential reporting systems; document and take timely action on incidents according to UGC policy.

Workshops & Seminars
Interactive sessions to raise awareness and educate students about the physical, mental, and social consequences of drugs.
Awareness Drives
Campus campaigns including posters, leaflets, online media, and social outreach promoting a drug-free lifestyle.
Student Involvement
Encourage student participation in awareness programs, workshops, and peer-led counseling initiatives.
Community Outreach
Engage with local schools and communities to extend anti-drug awareness beyond campus boundaries.

  • Programs are implemented in line with UGC and Government of India directives.
  • Activities are inclusive and ensure equal access for all students.
  • Confidentiality of all reports and documentation is strictly maintained.
  • Periodic reviews and assessments are conducted to ensure effectiveness.
  • Faculty, staff, and student leaders receive regular training on anti-drug policies.
  • The cell maintains collaboration with law enforcement, health organizations, and NGOs for compliance and support.
