Ensuring a Safe and Inclusive Campus for All Students at Ethics University

The Anti-Ragging Cell at Ethics University strictly follows UGC regulations to prevent any form of ragging. It monitors student welfare, ensures immediate redressal of complaints, and creates a safe academic environment for all students.

About the Cell

The Anti-Ragging Cell is constituted under the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Government of India’s anti-ragging directives. It comprises senior faculty members, student representatives, and external members to ensure transparency, fairness, and timely action against any reported incidents. The cell promotes awareness campaigns, sensitization workshops, and ensures a supportive environment for all students.

Helpline & Support

24x7 National Helpline
Students can report any ragging incident to the UGC-mandated national helpline: 9220-17-1771. All complaints are confidential and handled immediately.
University Helpline
The University also maintains an internal helpline for students: +91-9220-9220-17 to lodge complaints or seek guidance on anti-ragging procedures.

Committee Members

The cell consists of senior faculty members, nominated student representatives, and external members. They work collectively to act swiftly and transparently, ensuring that complaints are thoroughly investigated and remedial measures are implemented promptly.

How to Report Ragging

Online Complaint Form
Students may report any incident of ragging through the secure Online Complaint Form. All submissions are confidential.
In-Person Reporting
Students can also visit the Dean’s office or the Anti-Ragging Cell in person to lodge complaints. Immediate support and guidance are provided.
Support & Counseling
The cell ensures psychological and academic support for affected students. Counseling sessions are provided confidentially to aid recovery and maintain student welfare.

Awareness & Activities

Orientation Programs
Freshers are educated about anti-ragging policies, disciplinary actions, and grievance redressal mechanisms during induction sessions.
Workshops & Seminars
Regular sensitization workshops, awareness campaigns, and guest lectures are conducted to instill a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Monitoring & Enforcement
The cell actively monitors hostels, classrooms, and campus areas to ensure compliance and prevent any form of harassment or ragging.

📌 UGC Guidelines & Compliance

  • Strictly adhere to UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions.
  • Ensure all first-year students are aware of anti-ragging laws and reporting mechanisms.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all complaints and provide prompt action.
  • Conduct periodic inspections, surprise visits, and student sensitization programs.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and law enforcement where necessary.
  • All incidents are documented and reported to the university authorities as mandated by UGC.
